Finally got round to upgrading this blog to wordpress 2. The big incentive was the addition of Akismet which really makes comment spam a thing of the past. I’m sure it won’t last but the BeClan blog has gone from over 500 a week to 0! yes, the big fat zero. They may still arrive but akismet just marks them as spam and then after 15 days removes them. I still have my objection to the way they assign keys – which doesn’t make any sense and seems a little too much like a scam to bump up the number of “blogs” on wordpress.com. Hopefully they will see sense and come up with some other way of dolling out keys.
