The little “tv” screen in windows are great for seeing when your machine is chatting on the network, but they don’t really provide any details about what’s going on, not enough details to allow you to figure out if you have a problem anyway. So, how to find out? Let’s face it, windows isn’t helpful in this regard. Sure I can run a network monitor (tcpdump or others) on my unix boxes but add a switch into the equation and there won’t be much to see. Time to have a hunt round the web I guess…
