After a reasonable amount of time and effort by several people the community site is now live and available at http://people.apache.org/.
I’m very glad it’s made it to, what should be, it’s final resting place. The automatic generation script seems to be working well and we have 136 committers now listed. Maybe now it’s in an “official” place we’ll have some more committers add their details?

This isn’t the end, merely a brief respite in the development process that has led us to where we are now. The code that generates the site is in SVN. There’s an intentional disconnect between the generation code and the data used – one that acts to satisfy the privacy concerns that I’ve had throughout this project.
Suggestions for improvements and changes should be funnelled to site-dev at apache.org where everyone who has worked on this hangs out.
